PrestaShop Sporting Goods E-commerce

The main goal was to design a unique online store for the sports industry, combining intuitiveness and functionality with exceptional design. Key aspects included utilizing modern e-commerce solutions with PrestaShop, efficient content management, and SEO optimization to attract sports enthusiasts and stand out in the market.

Stages and Functionalities

Creation of a PrestaShop Sports Store for the sports industry that meets the needs of active customers and provides intuitive and efficient online shopping experiences.

UX Audit

We conducted a comprehensive technical and User Experience audit, focusing on identifying best and worst practices, performance analysis, and database evaluation. This allowed for an understanding of key areas for improvement and innovation, aimed at enhancing system efficiency and usability.

Wireframes & Prototyping

After the Event Storming workshops, we focused on creating wireframes, or structural sketches of the site, which served as the foundation for further design. This allowed for the early identification and resolution of potential usability issues and ensured intuitive navigation. After creating the wireframes, we moved on to prototyping. Here, using advanced tools, we built fully interactive prototypes of the store, which allowed for a realistic assessment of functionality and design before the final development stage.

Design System

It was crucial to design a flexible Design System that could be easily adapted and expanded as the store grew, and which allowed integration with various modules and extensions offered by PrestaShop and WordPress. This enabled the store to grow dynamically while maintaining a consistent and cohesive visual identity.

A consistent visual language, encompassing everything from color schemes and typography to graphic styles, ensured a unified and recognizable brand image at all levels of customer interaction. This combination of scalability and visual consistency was key to effective content management and providing an excellent user experience.

UX/UI Design

Emphasizing aesthetics and usability, the design team developed a range of visual concepts that combined modern design trends with the functionality needed to ensure a smooth and intuitive shopping experience. All interface elements, from the menu layout to detailed product pages, were designed with the goal of maximizing customer interaction with the store.

Product page

The unique product page design combines aesthetics with functionality, utilizing dynamic visual elements such as interactive photo galleries and animated buttons. Additionally, each product card features personalized recommendations and smart suggestions, which not only facilitate purchasing decisions but also create a cohesive and engaging shopping experience.

Order form

In the project, we implemented an easy-to-use order form optimized for mobile users. We ensured integration with various delivery providers such as Paczkomaty, DPD, DHL, and Orlen Paczka, as well as payment systems like BLIK and PayU, offering customers convenience and security in their shopping experience

Integration Presta Shop –> WordPress

We utilized the WordPress API and shortcodes to integrate dynamic blocks, such as product listings, promotions, and categories, directly into marketing content—on landing pages and blog articles. This allowed PrestaShop components to be visible in various content formats, increasing their attractiveness and functionality.

Mobile First

Considering that 90% of the store’s users access it via mobile devices, the entire project was designed with a mobile-first approach. All elements, from navigation to product presentation, were optimized for touch screens and smaller displays. Menus, buttons, and forms were designed to be easily operated on touch devices. Content and images scale smoothly, ensuring excellent readability and aesthetics across various screen sizes.

Dedicated icon set

Each icon and illustration was designed to align with the overall store design and optimized for display on various devices, especially mobile. These elements, which are key components of visual identity, helped convey information quickly and emphasized the store’s unique character, leading to better user experiences.
